We do, however, record the time/date and ip address of the member when they log into the site for the first time each session. This information is used to provide site statisitic, which are viewable by members and the general public from the front page of the site. The ip address is a Non-Personally Identifiable piece of data to penwrights.com and is not used for any other purpose than calculating traffic statistics and patterns.
Personally-Identifiable Consumer Data.
penwrights.com does not use any personally-identifiable data about a member for any purpose other than profiling information for other member's benefit. This data is completely consentual and is not required for membership to penwrights.com. This information includes first name, last name, street address, city, state, instant messaging id, and miscellaneous opinions. The applicant may choose to simply not fill out the personally-indentifiable information on the membership application form. If the information is filled out, the member may change the information at any time by editing their profile from the main toolbar. penwrights.com does not request or collect data from a member on subject areas including sexual orientation, political or religious affiliations, or medical data.

Non-Personally Identifiable Consumer Data - Use of Cookies - Opt-Out.
When a member logs into penwrights.com, they are assigned a unique number, known as a cookie, that is recorded and stored on their computer in their web browser's memory segment. The life of the cookie is only until the member exits their browser. Once they have exited the browser, the cookie information is lost. It is not stored in the browser's cookie file for subsequent use. Cookies do not harm the member's computers.
